When Laura (our MD) decided to play about with the idea of ELLEfluence as an offshoot of her own successful personal site elleblonde.com. In August 2016 she didn’t realise what a magnificent monster she was about to unleash. Fast forward several sleepless nights. Multiple trips up and down the country and an incredible whirlwind of planning. All in aid of the highly anticipated launch in 2017.
It was due to her passion for blogging fused with the frustration of often not being appreciated by brands. Brands who often don’t understand the power of a blogger’s influence or they attempt to exploit a blogger or influencer that led her on this journey to create something that put fire in her stomach. With the sole ambition to celebrate and help bloggers and influencers worldwide.

With the industry that is one of the fastest-growing, it was this passion that encouraged her to ensure that bloggers and influencers receive the best experience possible. That they are suitably compensated for their time, resources and efforts. Boy….it’s not easy being the photographer, marketer, accountant and editor all rolled into one, we know this!
From Student to CEO
So here’s a little background about our origin and how we got to where we are today.
2011 – Laura opened her first retail store selling high-end dog items (think a Northern Harrods for dogs!). Whilst still studying at University where she would later attain a First Class Honours in Business Management. This was a roaring success. It grew in stature and popularity she learnt to become tenacious and gained a hands-on education into the world of business.
2014 – Having outgrown this business and seeing the bright lights of remote working from working wherever, whenever. She opened an online ladies fashion store and moved away from her dog business.
2015 – Although successful packaging and posting boxes of dresses and clothing was not Laura’s idea of fulfilment and still kept her in one location. Off she went on the search for something different, an online furniture store. She built and designed this site through using herself taught web development skills. She sold her fashion business to concentrate on her furniture store which was solely a drop shipping enterprise. Meaning no inventory, no packaging and posting. This wasn’t quite enough for Laura, though….
2016 – Through blogging across her own e-commerce sites she found a passion for writing, initially limited to fashion or furniture she decided to seek something a little more personal. Elle Blonde was born. Catapulting into the industry Laura has made a name for herself through her Elle Blonde brand and attends events and posts daily uploads to her site. Through her love of digital marketing and a discovery of finding a gap in the market ELLEfluence was born; an amalgamation of the ELLE Blonde brand and bringing influencers together were; the origins of the name. Why the ELLE? A play on the first letter of her name of course!
The next wave
We officially launched on 3rd March 2017. In true ELLEfluence style we kicked off the party early with some jaw-dropping events. Including an Urban Decay Masterclass, Cocktail making at Rub Smokehouse and a Benefit Brows on Fleek Event.
